The file JAPAN.SAV is a map of Japan on which I have placed
close to 50 Japanese airbases.  Using the map provided in the
January 1996 issue of AIR International (pg.19) and my own
atlas I have done my best to create a sort-of accurate map for
Harpoon users.

The map should be viewed in the scenario editor as I have not
completed it as a scenario. (ie no victory conditions etc).
Users should also note the aircraft carrier "Iwo Jima" is there
to represent the airbase at Iwo Jima (used by all three branches
of the SDF).  Iwo Jima is offmap.

The map's lat & long limits are: 46N to 26N & 125E to 145E.

F-15:

220 ordered
187 delivered (150 F-15J & 37 F-15DJ)

F-4EJ:

138 delivered

96 converted to F-4EJ Kai standard
9 converted to RF-4EJ Kai standard (8 more to be converted)

Kai standard F-4Es have AN/APG-66J (LD), new bomb comp, HUD,
INS and ASM-1/2 capability.  Also airframe lifetime improved.

RF-4E:

14 delivered
12 remain, 10 of which are of Kai standard w/ new INS and IR systems

F-1:

77 delivered
3 lost
70 being upgraded for use until FS-X becomes available

E-2C:

13 delivered, 3 more ordered

FS-X:

three squadrons planned (2004) first flight was Oct.7/95

E-767:

2 units for March 1998, two more for 1999
a 767-27C with AN/APY-2 radar
