This is my second scenario ready for distrubution.
It is a vast improvement over my first one, "The Battle of the South China Sea".
The game runs faster and combat becomes much more interesting.
The basic storyline is that duringthe large scale U.S.-Russo war described
in the Battlsets GC2 and 3, the U.S. Navy raids Vladivostok with a powerful CVBG.
The scenario takes place over a large map, created specifically to aid in the
use of maneuver warfare. The battle spans such a large area that maneuvering is
easy and more useful than in other scenarios. Because of this large area, however,
it takes a longer time for units to move into striking position. Although not as long as
"Highway to Haifa", this scenario is no "Fight to Death". It requires that you think and
deploy your forces in a creative and bold way.
The scenario has enormous potential for interesting combat, but the AI in
Harpoon2 is so terrible that most of the possibilities cannot be shown in normal
play. I don't know much about HHH (Harpoon Head-to-Head), but I would think that
this scenario would benefit greatly from its use.
