This is the first in my series of a Second Iran-Iraq War. This one and my next scenario are based on two scenarios from the Harpoon 1 IOPG battle set. Although it is a recreation of an older scenario, it's my largest one yet. And interestingly enough, there's very little naval action.

The changes I have made are to the aircraft on each side, as well as the missions assigned to them. I decided to give the Iraqis more of a strike capability than they had in the original scenario. The Iranians still have a smaller air force, but with the exception of the Iraqi Mirages, out class just about everything else. I also took the liberty to re-write the intro to make it fit a little better with real word events of the early `90s.

Pay attention to the victory conditions for both sides. For the Iraqis, your job is to establish air and sea control over the entire theater. As the Iranian player, your forces have already made some gains on the ground, so you must focus on consolidating those gains and conserving your forces. It is fairly challenging to play for either side, but definately possible to win as both.

     Good Luck and enjoy!
